Flex Bellows Dimensions

The flex bellows is an elastic vessel made of stainless steel strips. It is widely used in piping systems in many different industries because of its remarkable characteristics such as absorbing multi-angle displacement and isolating the contact between the flowing medium and the surrounding objects.

We are mainly talking about here is flex bellows used in the automotive industry. Flex bellows can be classified into exhaust bellows, vacuum bellows, valve bellows, and coupling bellows according to different applications.

Many customers may not know what size to choose when buying flex bellows? And whether the size of the flex bellows they need is available in the market? These problems will become more acute when they encounter a Chinese supplier who is not professional enough. Because most of the bellows manufacturers in China are using a different pipe size standard.

If the customer does not find a suitable supplier, they will think that the size required by the customer is not standard, and charge a large amount of mold customization fees in the name of this. But the truth may not be the case. There are some professional export factories in China, they can not only provide bellows of European standard pipe size but also can provide bellows of American pipe size.

Usually, the size of the bellows refers to the nominal diameter of the bellows (the shortcode is DN or NB). This size is based on the nominal pipe size, because the bellows are fit onto pipes for connection. The nominal diameter of the bellows corresponding to different pipe size standards is the same, but the inner diameter of the respective bellows is different.
